# pkg_add kdeadmin kdegraphics kdenetwork kdeutils kdetoys kdeartwork kdegames kdegraphics
You may wish to update your font path for /usr/local/share/ghostscript/fonts
The following new rcscripts were installed: /etc/rc.d/netsnmpd /etc/rc.d/netsnmptrapd

There are currently NO setuid/gid bits enabled, but if you
want to use gnokii as a normal user you need to set the
setuid/gid bits manually.

Install pdfinfo (from xpdf) if you want to see pdf information in konqueror.

If you want to use this package as your default system python, as root
create symbolic links like so (overwriting any previous default):
 ln -sf /usr/local/bin/python2.5 /usr/local/bin/python
 ln -sf /usr/local/bin/python2.5-config /usr/local/bin/python-config
 ln -sf /usr/local/bin/pydoc2.5  /usr/local/bin/pydoc

As per above instructions, you will want to make configuration modifications to:

  • /etc/X11/xorg.conf FontPath

After successfully installing the above kde packages, you can verify that kde works by running:

$ startkde
