Web Presence and Portal
As if to highlight that OpenBSD is used by her developers and friends for web presence, the toolset for web portals in the Ports Collection , frameworks continue to evolve, shrinking and expanding.
OpenBSD 5.2 loses plone or zope in the ports collection, but have an increasing set of other portal/web frameworks including:
- PHP - drupal 5, 6, 7, mantis, mediawiki, dokuwiki, wordpress
- Python - django, moinmoin, trac
- Ruby - rails
- Perl - rt, twiki, webgui
You could use HTML and the growing tools for generating static HTML.
- Ruby - jekyll
I've used a range of web portal software in the past, from source, and look forward to advancements in the platform.
Web portals I'm using from source installations (i.e. they're not in the ports collection, but work just fine) include:
- Chat XMPP
