A while back I recounted how the frontscreen window of our car was smashed by a falling Mei tree and last week I discovered another thing that falling Mei / Breadfruits can do.
Deprive me of water.
I was wandering up on the roof trying to get a TV signal on our antennae so we can watch the Super 12 Rugby games when I noticed one of two things.
a) I really need to get up here more often to clean this place up (kinda of like a guys bedroom ?
b) I can see the ground from here. Hey, where's the rest of my gutter?
This brings to mind two options, fix it or leave it
Personally, it would be great to forget about these things, wake up in the morning and it magically grew a leg and fixed itself. Unfortunately things don't work that way, so ya gotta look around for good help here in Tonga. We talked about calling up one of my cousins who has a 'construction' business when I meet up with another cousin at work. Seems they've been doing renovation work at his house for 3 weeks on a two day job.
Today was the classic some of you may have come across. Two boys were sent down (they're paying daily wages) and they spent the whole day cleaning out the toilet bowl, and were very proud of it too.
