Ok, had the chance to eat out a couple of times during the months and haven't posted anything of note. Mr. Tk. eats out a lot with his consultancy friend, but since I'm a peace-corp volunteer I don't get to do that often unless I get some friends to pay.
The Cottage
A restaurant situated in Fasi/Ma'ufanga, we were going to have lunch there with the kids on Saturday except we got there and they had a full facility booking so we didn't get to go in, but the place/food/cooking smelled great from the outside.
Being a week away, I have no recollection of the scent.
Luna Rossa
It doesn't matter how great the cook, if the primary ingredient isn't up to scratch.
Had dinner here and ordered some chicken dish, and the sauce and everything was great but I was really having to rip into that chicken to fight off some flesh from it. Most definitely a problem with their supplier which in Tonga is hard to pick when it comes to chicken unless you order the whole chicken.
Always love the food here, just one bad nights chook.
Waterfront
Got a surprise invite to eat and ended up here, the decor's nice 1/2 nautical/navigation 1/2 pasifika water colors.
Their menu choice has gone up a whole heap and I chose the seafood lasagne although I was hoping for Vegetarian (no I'm not vegetarian but sometimes those vegetarian dishes actually taste real good without the sad sideeffects.)
The last two seem to have well stocked bars for those with a neat for a little chemical re-balancing. Although since I don't drink alcohol I can't really say I have any clue about what is a well stocked as to opposed to not well stocked bar.
