AUD$2.00 for hardcover (book printed December 2005)
Posted about Matthew Reilly's books and Saturday we went back to the K-Mart store to do some shopping and grabbed "Seven Ancient Wonders" along with Lee Child's The Enemy
The great drama wasn't in geting the books, although O4 gets first pickings and is reading Seven Ancient Wonders. We got the hardcover book for $2.00. Cheaper than the GoldenBooks title we got for the kids.
Apparently some screwup entered the details (price) incorrectly so we got to keep the book at $2.00. We took the book up to the Customer Care Counter (or whatever their name is these days) and they said we can keep the book at that price because we got tagged that way (as I was just preparing to make the bolt for the doors.)

Wish they had the other hardbacks @ $2.00, that would have been a cheap way of upgrading the local library.
Now we're back in a land where a wide range of books are available at the bookshops, it's time to reconsider what to do with them. Back in Tonga we just put it on the bookshelf and had a couple of friends who knew about our growing collections and would make a call (either by phone or on foot) to grab a copy. Here in Oz, it's time to schedule irregular trips to the local library and donate books for others to read.
