I had not seen this before, but reading this week's Talaki, there's new rates out by Tonfon for their mobile service, too bad their coverage doesn't help me and I'm already committed to UCall.
Summary: Tonfon is Cheaper
Local calls: Cheaper (18c -vs- 21c)
SMS: Cheaper (6c -vs- 10c)
SMS International: Even (30c -vs- 30c and 40c -vs- 35c)
International: Cheaper 70/60c -vs- 80/75c; 70/60c -vs- $1/80c [Landline]
If you are a mobile phone junky, making a hundred calls a day, all other things being equal, you'd be a fool to buy UCall (UCall published rates) but not all things are equal (even if I am a fool.) Coverage is still spotty for both providers, but where I generally cruise I am getting much better reception with Ucall (and the switching cost is not that great really.)
Another little news, radio announcing changes to the TCC Customer Counter hours beginning 1st March, 2007.
