After last Sunday's Misinale we had no expected that our congregation were having our misinale and so we blissfully went through the week without any preparations until we got to the church service.
The format for the gifts was a simple "Tali Ui" Roll-Call where congregational families spoke if they wished and many read bible verses and sang songs. The gifts were silently presented, sealed, and only the final total was presented by the Minister to the congregation as their annual gift giving.
Of course, things are a little different from the regular Tongan FWC Misinale. The congregation regularly tithes during the weekly services but as there are hopes for continuing improvements, developments of the current Petersham service, the congregation wished to make an additional contribution.
And the experiment begins, I've taken the above photos with my new toy, oooops, camera. So, I'm trying to figure out how to do decent quality no-flash camera work inside a fluorescent lit church.
Did it come out too bad ?
Getting the photos up on the web is a whooooole lot longer with the new camera/system, and they're not that great so something's real wrong with that. Ooops, the problem could be the driver.
