My dad returned late last week, after having spent Christmas and New Year's with us.
While with us we had a great time just having him about and the kids were really enjoying having a full-time grandfather in the house. As a sign of things having changed, and that his health is dramatically better than previous visits, we did a number of things this year that we have not been able to do for a long time.
We went on quite a few car rides to visit relatives, and we have elsewhere here photos from our picnic/visit to the Ha'amonga-'a-Maui.

Sorry we're not calling as often, TCC haven't decided to get back from their vacation to fix our phoneline (or maybe our problem is lost in the pile over there.)
The old guy seems to have stirred up a hornets nest at our church when he was invited to lead one of the uikelotu failotu's. I'm not sure whether his failout has stirred some spiritual or political emotions but there seems to be some noise at our church a little more heated than in previous years. Thanks dad.
The kids miss him terribly, especially the eldest who is more aware of these things. Sisitoutai Jnr is still in the 'feed me and I'll be happy' phase.
