The pulpit sings a different tune
I don't know about my own congregation, but the catholics are getting an earful.
Bishop Dr Soane Lilo Foliaki, "It is with deep regret that I as Bishop and Chief Shepherd of the Catholic Church in Tonga must condemn, in no uncertain terms, the violence and lawlessness which have occurred in Tonga over the past few days. Whatever the motivation was, such behaviour is total violation of the Christian Faith".
" Our greed, jealousy, hatred and wickedness, now reveals our true colour, and we' ve seen it in Nuku' alofa on Thursday, November 16, 2006, with all the evil events that occurred," Father Amato told the Nuku' alofa Parish.
