Tuesday: Ooops, too early with the accolades ?
Customer walks in and we get to talking about novels and stuff, no I still can't get money out of the ATM, and then he goes into a tirade at the incompetence of the banking staff (been there.) Ooops two customers.
So, I tell them about the travel tip, keep USD$100 in your wallet and then I look at the girth/width of this man and hmmmm, USD$100 isn't gonna last this guy much.
Which leads to the original issue, it seems that TCC is not yet fully operational with their international services. The Internet and some international lines are open, but not all. It seems that circuits are very few, or some people just can't call overseas destinations (at least the ones they want to call) while we can at least recieve phone calls (whether coming through a TCC international link or a Tonfon international link, you can't really tell.
The travel agents I spoke with are still down (and not just a little upset.)
So, it seems today is not a good day to be a tourist in Tonga. Or a 'smart-traveller' Tongan living on your Card while in Tonga.
