Bug Fixes

Editor Selection has been updated somewhat. Help File updated accordingly. Where previously you had to Mouse-Right-Click to change sub-Editor focus, you can now also enter text into a sub-editor and it will set focus to that editor. (from the help file -- without the graphics)

Selecting the GUI Sub-Editor

There are three major text areas in a MoveableType (bTonga) blog composition. The "Content" (aka Summary Text), the "Extended Text" (aka More Text, or Body Text), and the "Excerpt" (aka Notes Text.) These three text areas are handled by bTonga with three GUI editor panes:

  1.  the content (also known as Summary),
  2.  the extended text, (also known as "More Text" or "Body Text") and
  3.  the exerpt (also known as "Notes").

Although you can navigate, move between these Text Areas with normal windows methods (such as Mouse Left-Click) there is a problem where Command Input Focus (i.e. use of the Toolbar) requires one of two user actions. To change the focus of the GUI sub-Editor use either one of the following methods:

  1. Type something into the GUI sub-Editor of choice -or-
  2. Mouse-Right-Click on the GUI sub-Editor of choice.

For Example :

When bTonga is started, the toolbar activities (e.g. click on the Bold or Justify Left button, will take effect on the content sub-Editor) are preset to function on the Content [Summary] text. Note that the Toolbar gives you 'feedback' with the icon.

To use the toolbar buttons on text inside the Extended Text sub-Editor, 1st type something into the Extended Text area. Focus is now set on the Extended Text, and you know this by the (More Text) icon in the Toolbar.

Now, when you click on [B]old, it will take effect on text you have entered into the "Extended Text Area"
